WREATH SILENT AUCTION
This is a new event for the Greens Sale this year!  The Landon community’s talent and creativity will be showcased in these spectacular themed wreaths.  The hard part will be choosing which one should become a focal point in your home.  The auction will begin at Preview Night, December 2, and end at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 4.  The wreaths will be featured in the Lehrman Atrium. Winning bidders can come at 4 on Friday to claim their wreaths or we will facilitate pick up or delivery for you. See some of the wreaths here.

LIVE GREENS
Rhonda Amoroso and Melissa Carey need LIVE GREENS for wreaths and specialty arrangements.
Please email melissacarey@msn.com or call 703-243-7674 if you have greens to donate. Please drop off anything you may have from the list below in the barn on Monday morning, November 30.  We are looking for: Arborvitae, Australian Pine, Bay, Blue Spruce, Cedar (especially with berries), Cypress, Euonymus, Holly (variegated or with berries), Juniper (especially with berries), Laurel (mountain or regular), Magnolia, Nandina (with berries), Pieris Japonica, Photosynia, Princess Pine, Pyracantha.

DRINKS! DRINKS! AND MORE DRINKS ARE NEEDED FOR THE HOLIDAY CAFÉ 
The Holiday Café would love to have cases of drinks donated.  The drinks will be sold in the Holiday Café along with piping hot pizza and an array of soup, salad and sandwiches. We would appreciate any donation of: cans of Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite, and plastic containers of 24 oz Gatorade and water.  Please drop off the drinks in the Stone Room between now and Tuesday morning, OR we will be in front of the Stone Room to unload your car at drop-off on Tuesday, December 1.  Thank you in advance for your donations!

Holiday Café will be selling Chick-fil-A and Potomac Pizza.  Don't forget to send money in with your sons.  They can buy it at recess, unbreakable break, lunch time, study hall and after school!  $2/slice for pizza and $5/sandwich.

BEAR BAKERY needs lots of baked treats so bakers, as you get out the recipes and start planning what goodies to donate, here is what we need: brownies, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, muffins, cakes, pies, breads, etc. Each goodie must be individually wrapped and then placed in a bag, box, basket, etc. with a label listing what is being donated, by whom (name and phone number of the baker) and the ingredients, especially note nuts.  Bring your goodies to drop off Thursday and Friday or to the bake sale itself.  Any questions, just email Carol Epstein at c.epstein@verizon.net .Thanks so much for baking for this wonderful event.

YOUNG SHOPPERS – Last few days for contributions of toys and gifts!  Thank you so much to all of you who have already brought your items in.  Items will be accepted up until the Thanksgiving holiday.  They can be left with Sue Robinson in the Lower School office or in the Young Shoppers box outside the Middle School office.  For other arrangements, contact Sharlene Amitay at samitay@comcast.net.

The JUNIOR CLASS will be featuring two items during the Greens Sale event to benefit fundraising efforts for the Jr./Sr. Prom.  Select a thick, fleece, Landon stadium blanket that may also be personalized for your Bear to stay warm and cozy at home or at the game  And back by popular demand, Vineyard Vines belts in orange and khaki, custom-made with the Landon Bear.  Sizes range from XS (24) to XXL (40) and everything in between.  Form V parents and students are needed to volunteer for one-hour shifts on Thursday and Friday.  Please contact Jill Hetterman at mnhetterman@aol.com; Faith Diamond at faith0462@aol.com; Margie Stouffer at mstouffer7@comcast.net or Cathleen Howard at 5howards@comcast.net.
