Welcome to The Landon School's Varsity Cross Country team page. The team is coached by Addison Hunt and Thomas Dresher and is in season from mid August until mid November. Members of our team participate in a variety of programs in the summer to prepare for the season as well as attending cross country camp at Bucknell University in late July. Our team travels all over the state of Maryland and ventures into West Virginia, Virginia and Pennsylvania to seek out the finest competition in our area. We continue to work to bring the school an IAC title and Maryland Private School State title. The team's last IAC title was in 1975 and 1978 but with a third place title in 2006 and a second place title in 2007 we have been improving with our eye on titles in 2009 and beyond. For information on our performance over the last few seasons you can check our statistics at athletic.net.
Our campus is home to our 5000 meter course. It is a series a laps around grass, wood chip and gravel paths. As very little of the course is asphalt, spikes are encouraged. The start and finish are within 100 yards of each other and it is a spectator friendly course. Course Map.
