2010 Azalea Garden Festival SMART CAR Raffle
As part of its annual Azalea Garden Festival fundraising efforts for scholarships and faculty enrichment, Landon is raffling off a 2009 Passion Cabriolet Smart Car!
What are the details?
The Passion Cabriolet comes complete with alloy wheels, air conditioning with climate control, 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles, power windows, electric and heated side mirrors, and AM/FM radio with an mp3 compatible in-dash 6-disk CD changer. It has been updated with silver tridion and includes the comfort package – heated leather seats and electronic power steering. The soft top with heated rear glass window is fully automatic and can be infinitely adjusted to any position while driving at any speed. For the full cabriolet experience, simply remove the side roof bars - taken out in no time - and stow them in a special compartment in the tailgate. MSRP: $18,660.
How Will It Work?
Winner will work directly with EuroMotorcars in Germantown to choose car color and obtain title, tags and registration. Winner will be responsible for associated fees. The vehicle is NOT redeemable for cash.
If I win, do I have to pay taxes on the winnings?
Yes, the winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes as well as car tags, title and registration fees.
What Are My Odds of Winning?
The chance of winning depends on the number of tickets sold, which will not be more than 500. Tickets are $100 each. Three tickets may be purchased for a volume discount of $250.
How Will The Money Raised By The Raffle Be Used?
All of the money raised from the raffle will go towards student financial assistance and faculty enrichment programs.
When Will The Drawing Occur?
The drawing will take place on Sunday, May 2, 2010, the last day of the Azalea Festival. You do not need to be present to win.
How Can I Purchase a Raffle Ticket?
Tickets will be available for purchase by check (made out to “Landon Azalea Garden Festival”) or credit card at upcoming Landon events, on-line using the form below, or by contacting Erin Sowanick in the Parent Volunteer Programs Office (301) 320-1014 or erin_sowanick@landon.net. For tickets purchased on-line or by mail, ticket stub numbers will be sent via confirmation e-mail. Actual ticket stubs may be picked up in person from Erin Sowanick in the Azalea Garden Festival Office at the Perkins House, if desired.
