Letter from 2012-13 Annual Fund Chairs

Landon's Annual Fund is the cornerstone of all school fundraising efforts and our first philanthropic priority.  Annual Fund gifts underwrite 12 percent of the School's operating budget for this year. Last year alumni, families and friends contributed a record $1.575 million to Landon School through the Annual Fund. These dollars help pay for:

• Competitive faculty salaries and benefits
• Necessary classroom and teaching materials
• Maintenance of the School's facilities and athletic fields
• Enhancement of our art offerings
• Financial aid for more than 100 students

It's About Teamwork!

Being part of a team — whether it’s the band, or the football team, or the school newspaper — demands our very best, our appreciation of the needs of others, our willingness to sacrifice if needed. Landon boys learn that being a critical team member on a difficult journey makes the final reward all the sweeter.  The Annual Fund works in the same way.

We’re a Landon team, too, comprised of parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, former faculty and friends who together give Landon the extra resources needed to meet annual budgeted expenses. Annual Fund dollars cover the costs that tuition alone cannot, expenses that make the vital difference between a very good school and one that is truly excellent. That makes the success of the Annual Fund essential.
