Plant Sale

Annuals

The essentials for your summer garden. Color a landscape with your favorites – geraniums, petunias, impatiens, begonias and many more healthy and nursery grown plants by the pot or flat for sun or shade. We also offer a variety of hanging baskets and potted arrangements to accent your patio or garden. Let us help you create a beautiful palette of color and texture with flowers that will thrive throughout the spring and summer.

Azaleas

The stars of the Festival! More than 100 different kinds of azaleas – natives as well as popular hybrids – are for sale. Many are unusual and unique, unavailable at commercial nurseries. Others are field-grown, some on our own grounds. All are top quality and well worth the visit. Tour the Perkins Garden to see many of our offerings in a naturalized setting.

Flowering Shrubs and Roses

The leading ladies for gardens. A splendid selection of ornamental and flowering shrubs, including spectacularly colored rhododendrons, hydrangeas, lilacs and many varieties of beautiful and hardy roses. An array of mini rosebushes, which may be brought indoors for delightful winter blooming, are just right for Mother’s Day.

Herbs and Vegetables

A spicy chorus of fragrance, flavor and color. Choose from many of your favorite herbs. Plan a harvest from an enticing array of vegetable seedlings, including tomatoes grown especially for patios, decks and limited spaces. Select individual plants or clay window boxes with a mix of herbs already planted.

Wildflowers and Perennials

Our hardy flowers bring enjoyment year after year. We offer more than 160 species of wildflowers, ferns and perennials, with practical guides to planting and maintenance. Most plants are native to this area, and some were cultivated and grown at Landon. Also available is Landon Earth Elixir – our homemade worm compost. Lower School students fed the worms their fruit snack leftovers throughout the winter. The odorless organic by-product serves as a super-nutritious ready-to-use garden fertilizer.
