"Azalea Goes Pops!"
After a full day outside, retreat to the comfortable, air-conditioned auditorium and treat the entire family to a concert of jazz and pop favorites conducted by our own Performing Arts Chair, Earl Jackson, and Director of Strings, Dr. Paul Scimonelli.
The 2010 program included an updated rendition of Copeland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Artie Shaw’s Clarinet Concerto performed by Landon’s own Randall Riffle, a touch of jazz, featuring It Don’t Mean A Thing, The Swingin’ Shepherd Blues, ’Round Midnight, Take Five, Li’l Darlin’, C Jam Blues, and Cute with Dr. S. conducting. The Landon Bearitones will perform a Frank Sinatra medley, and the program will close with the Rise and Fall of a Short Fugue from the great rock group Chicago.
