Event Benefits Children at Georgetown Hospital
Landon School hosted the third annual Just TRYAN It children’s triathlon on June 17. The event raised more than $150,000 for the Georgetown University Hospital’s Hematology/Pediatrics Family Assistance Fund. Landon served as one of four Gold Sponsors for the 2012 triathlon.
More than 350 children ages 6-12 years participated in the event, which included swimming, biking and running components. The participants included eight Landon students:

The mission of Just TRYAN It is to positively impact the lives of families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer by providing them with financial assistance. The organization’s President/Race Director is Carrie Norry, wife of Landon Middle School Head Doug Norry.
