Record-Setting Efforts Raise $1.569 Million
The 2009-2010 Annual Fund which closed on June 30, raised $1,569,585.91, thanks to the efforts of a strong team of volunteers. This amount was an increase of $125,000 over the total for the prior fiscal year.
“Our Chairs worked tirelessly to spread the word that the Annual Fund supports every student, teacher and program throughout the year,” said Barbara Goodwyn, Associate Director of Development/Director of Annual Programs. “Based on the excellent results, it seems clear that the community got the message.”
The 09-10 Annual Fund was led by Parent Chairs Amy and Bruce Mehlman, Alumni Co-chairs George Wenchel ’65, Stephen Gordon ’75 and Jimmy Barter ’01; Parent of Alumni Chairs Donna and Rob ’66 Bordley; and Grandparent Chairs Dade and John McMahon. The Parent Chairs were assisted by Vice Chairs Hillary and Tom Baltimore (Lower School), Laura and Shariar Zaimi (Middle School), and Kathy and Tracy Wellington (Upper School).
