Summer Program Benefits from “Talent, Energy and Good Will”
In addition to the many faculty and staff who are working at Landon in Summer, 31 current Upper School students and 33 recent alumni are serving as camp counselors. Many of them are employed at one of the many specialty camps, imparting their knowledge of sports and music to young campers. These include current and former Varsity players and Band leaders. Others are working at the Preschool Camp and Boys Day Camp, spending six weeks with girls and boys at play all around the campus.
Landon in Summer Director Hans Farnstrom says, “We are lucky to have so many young Landon men who are interested in sharing their talents, energy and good will with our campers. The boys learn valuable leadership skills, and the camps would not run this smoothly without them. Many of them started here as campers, and it’s wonderful to see them emerge years later as counselors.”
