2010-11 Upper School Curriculum
Landon's Upper School offers a rigorous college-preparatory program, with academic concentrations in the Arts, World Languages, and Math and Science. Boys have a two-year arts requirement that may be fulfilled through music, drama or studio art.
Honors courses are offered in Algebra II, Biology, Geometry, Precalculus, French II and III, Latin II and Spanish II and III.
Advanced Placement courses are offered in Biology, Calculus (AB and BC), Chemistry, Statistics, Physics (B and C), Art History, Music Theory, U.S. History, Micro and Macro Economics, French Language, French Literature, Spanish Language, Modern European History, Environmental Science and Latin.
The Upper School operates on an 8-day schedule with no more than two classes without a break. The multi-day schedule ensures that boys take each subject at different times of the day — acknowledging optimal times for each student — and that time is available to meet with teachers for extra help, grab a snack or just hang out with friends.
