Faculty and Staff
Following the teacher-coach-mentor model, Landon School faculty work with students outside of the classroom on the playing fields, in the studio and in the performance hall where they find teachable moments that help each boy achieve his personal best. With a student/faculty ratio of 6:1, teachers can offer students individual attention.
Smaller class sizes and an open atmosphere facilitate lively discussions and friendly competition as teachers put into practice all that they know about the ways in which boys learn best. Faculty share best practices in this regard and tailor their teaching to the different learning styles of their students.
Faculty are encouraged to continue their own education, and Landon supports their participation in conferences and seminars to keep up with today's teaching techniques and technology. One of the fundraising priorities for the Azalea Garden Festival is faculty enrichment.
