Peter “Jerry” FitzGerald, Sr. ’50 is the owner, with his sons, of FitzGerald Properties, a real estate management company based in Virginia.
In 2000, Mr. FitzGerald was awarded the Anthony Edward Kupka ’64 Distinguished Alumnus Award, the Alumni Association’s highest award bestowed on Landon alumni. Mr. FitzGerald served multiple terms on the Board of Trustees and also was a member of the Headmaster’s Ambassadors Council.
Other members of his family have played leadership roles at Landon as well. His wife, Jerry FitzGerald, chaired the Azalea Garden Festival in 1978; his daughter-in-law, Martha Blair FitzGerald, chaired the 2012 Festival. One son, Peter “Chip” Fitzgerald ’83 is a trustee, and John FitzGerald ’86 served as president of the Alumni Association in 2007-2008. His grandson is in the Class of 2013.
