Mark’s Run 2013 - Sunday, May 5

Mark’s Run 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run is held each year in memory of alumnus Mark Ferris ’94, who lost his battle with juvenile diabetes. In May 2013, hundreds of runners participated in the annual Mark’s Run, raising over $50,000 for the Mark Ferris Scholarship Fund, and giving, in partnership with the Stewart Trust, $75,000 to the Joslin Diabetes Center. Thank you to all of our participants and volunteers who helped to make the Run such a success. Results are posted below. Stay tuned for pictures!

Mark Vaughn Ferris ’94
On December 13, 1999, a life-long struggle against juvenile diabetes and heart disease overtook Mark Vaughn Ferris ’94. A beloved brother, son, classmate and friend, Mark's strength in fighting diabetes taught those around him that life is not measured in years but in character. Mark’s character — of laughter, kindness, patience, and love — will be remembered always.
