You want what’s best for your son. We do, too.
For nearly a century, Landon has produced men of character who possess the foundation of intellect and the determination to pursue and achieve lofty aspirations. We carry out our mission through an intentional approach that employs the best practices for educating boys—methods that are anchored in the valued relationships boys share with their teachers. Our students and parents explain it best.

Landon helped me shape my worldview. I was able to tap into so many parts of what inform my identity. I could be a football player, an a capella singer, and a newspaper writer. That is the Landon man, a man of honor and a culturally aware and active global citizen.

Landon offers a need-based financial aid program to ensure that the cost of attendance does not preclude access to our unparalleled academic experience.
Financial aid is applied toward tuition which includes lunch and significant portions of field trip, book, and athletic fees. Financial aid recipients also receive discounts on before- and after-school supervision and Landon-sponsored bus transportation.
If you are a current Landon family applying for financial aid for the first time, or a prospective family applying for admission, you must complete the Clarity financial aid application. Returning families already receiving financial aid must re-apply every year via Clarity to account for any change in a family's financial need.
Families in the admissions application process must complete both the admissions application via Ravenna and the financial aid application via Clarity. Visit our Financial Aid FAQ page for more information on how to apply for financial aid.
Eligibility for Financial Aid
Wondering if your family might qualify for financial aid? Here are some helpful Landon statistics from financial aid applicants for the 2023-2024 school year:
- Household income of qualifying families ranged up to $350,000 with multiple children
- 26% of Landon students receive tuition grants ranging from 5% to 99% of tuition costs
- The average grant is $30,264, representing 61% of the Upper School tuition
To determine a family’s financial need, we consider income, assets, liabilities, family size, and the number of children in tuition-charging schools. Because the interplay of these variables is complex, we cannot determine eligibility without a full application.
We encourage all families considering the need for financial aid to apply. See the graphic below and visit the Financial Aid FAQ page for more information.
Landon had nine bus routes for 2022-23, and some are shared with Holton-Arms School. Bus routes for 2023-24 have yet to be finalized.
Landon School is accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland and D.C. Schools (AIMS) and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA).
