Your step-by-step guide to complete the Landon admissions application.

Step 1: Create a Ravenna Account
In order to register for admissions events and complete the application process, you must create a Ravenna account. Once you register, click on the School Directory, search for “Landon School,” and select “Apply” or “Explore.”
Step 2: Submit the Preliminary Application Form and Fee
The application for the 2027-28 school year will become available on Ravenna by September 1, 2026. The initial application form is easy, asking for contact information, connections to the Landon community, and indications of the applicant’s interests. There is a $75 application fee; you may request an application fee waiver by contacting the Admissions Office at admissions@landon.net.
The application and all the supporting materials are due January 8, 2027.
Step 3: Submit Your Parent and Student Responses
To learn more about the applicant and his family, we ask that families answer a set of prompts. The applicant’s responses should be in his own words.
Please follow the steps for submitting this information in Ravenna after completing your preliminary application form.
Step 4: Schedule Your Visit
A campus tour and conversation (Grades 3-5) or interview (Grades 6-12) are required.
Self-registration takes place via your Ravenna application page.
Grades 3-5
This in-person family tour lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Grades 6-12
This in-person campus tour and interview for parents and the applicant(s) lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Step 5: Request Your Transcript
Landon requires an official transcript to include one marking period from the current school year plus all reports from the prior two years including any in-school testing information.
Please complete the Transcript Release Form found on your Ravenna application page and submit it to your son’s school(s). The school(s) must email the transcript directly to admissions@landon.net or upload the document via Ravenna.
Step 6: Complete Testing
Grades 3-6 Testing
Admissions testing for Lower School applicants is required and takes place on campus with Landon faculty. Applicants engage in reading and math assessments, a writing exercise, and a small group activity. This year's testing date is Saturday, December 12. Self-registration takes place via your Ravenna application page.
Grades 7-12 Testing
An applicant may submit SSAT, HSPT (grades 9-12), and MAP results. Results must be submitted by the application deadline, Friday, January 8, 2027.
Landon’s SSAT code is 4495.

Step 7: Request Teacher Recommendations
Requests to complete recommendation forms are sent to teachers from your Ravenna application page.
Grades 3-5
Applicants must submit one recommendation from the current homeroom teacher.
Grades 6-12
Applicants must submit recommendations from current math and English teachers.
All Applicants
For all applicants, an additional personal recommendation is optional and must be submitted by one who knows the applicant in an organized setting i.e. a coach, former teacher, or club organizer.
Then, apply for Financial Aid
We believe that Landon offers an unparalleled educational experience. We also believe that every young man who is a fit for Landon should have the opportunity to attend, no matter his family’s financial situation. That’s why we encourage you to apply for financial assistance.
In order to receive financial aid, you must apply simultaneously with the admissions application. Landon uses the Clarity Application. Please visit our Financial Aid page for information about the process.
The financial aid application is due December 15, 2026 for current Landon families and February 1, 2027 for families new to Landon.
