Football at Landon is built on a foundation of teamwork, perseverance, and commitment.

Landon football teams are known for being disciplined, well-coached, and tough.

Program Leadership

Head Coach Paul Padalino, P'15 has been teaching and coaching at Landon since 2010 and has served as varsity head coach since his arrival.

Prior to Landon, Coach Padalino served as assistant football and lacrosse coach at Georgetown University for four years before spending eight years as head football coach, as well as three years as Athletic Director, at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond. He played both football and lacrosse at Hobart College. In addition to his football responsibilities, Coach Padalino teaches Upper School math and coaches varsity lacrosse.

NCAA

Over the past six years, Landon football has produced more than 20 student-athletes who have played collegiate football, and more than 30 collegiate athletes in another sport.

Alumni have gone on to play football at schools such as Boston College, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Delaware State University, Elon University, University of Maryland, James Madison University, Rensselaer Institute of Technology, and Williams College. In addition, some recent collegiate careers of note include:

Keith Simms '16, Oregon University – Special Teams MVP;
Mark Ebo '16, Holy Cross – 2^nd Team All Patriot League; Davitt Award as the team’s top defensive lineman; Connor Award as the person the players are most proud of as a teammate;
Tomas Kenary '20, Middlebury College – NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, 2-time AFCA All American;
