Landon students, faculty, and staff started their day on Friday with a virtual assembly honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"Make it your mission to spread the love, service, and charity throughout the year," said Charles Harley, the Upper School Coordinator for Landon's Diversity and Community Committee. "Though I won't tell you what to do today, I will share with you my favorite MLK quote. 'Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.' Hint: you don't have to have it all together. Just have a heart and you can be great."
