Eyewitness to history

Micah ’28 is officially a published author. He interviewed Parisa Salehi, who he met through his father, and wrote an essay about her childhood in Iran during the revolution. His submission won the top prize in a writing contest called ‘Eyewitness to History’ in Junior Scholastic.  

Junior Scholastic is a magazine for teachers and students designed to meet higher academic standards, and boost key social studies, language arts, and writing skills. Aside from being published in the magazine, Micah also won a $250 cash prize. He and Salehi donated the money to a dog shelter in Iran.
