Nicholas Davidoff ’26, JT Mathura ’26, Davey Ribeiro ’26, Rafayel Sargsyan ’26, and Nate Wang ’26 have been named semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program in recognition of their outstanding academic promise as a result of their PSAT/NMSQT scores.
These seniors are among the 16,000 students to earn the distinction.
In addition, (pictured, front row, from left) seniors Z Khan, Macallister Graham, Albert Payson, J Ngugi, Josh Burstein, (back row, from left) Zach Burstein, Nicholas Bruno, Will Cate, Leo Iacovelli, Frank Wang, and Arthur Deng were named National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Students.

“This recognition is well-deserved, as each student scored among the top 1% of the 1.3 million students who took the Fall 2024 PSAT. While their scores are certainly impressive, what’s even more inspiring is their approach to learning and the impact they’ve had in Landon’s classrooms,” Ehren Federowicz, Head of Upper School, said. “Each student is known for their curiosity, strong academic skills, and commitment to giving their best, thus positively influencing their peers and enriching Landon’s overall academic program.”
Students will find out if they are finalists for the program in February 2026. If selected, they could receive a scholarship for their undergraduate education.
Landon students are consistently recognized by the College Board for their academic excellence as National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalists. Recent semifinalists include Matthew Guo ’25, Thomas Shelton ’24, Lawerence Li ’23, Kyle Radimer '21, and Drew Curran ’20 and Alec Mearns ’20.
