The excitement in the air is palpable with the arrival of two highly anticipated musical theater productions. The on-stage collaboration between Landon and Holton-Arms continues with a blend of humor and nostalgia.

First up, the Middle Schools present “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Based on the “Peanuts” comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, this revue of songs and vignettes explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and his friends in the Peanuts gang.

"While playing the role of Charlie Brown can be a challenge, it is also an amazing opportunity that helps me step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and do the things I love," said Mayim ’30.

"People should come and see it so they can experience what it’s like to see a show with kids enjoying what they do,” said Barton ’29, who also plays Charlie Brown.

Ellis ’26, who plays Danny Zuko, encourages the audience to “go into it feeling like you want to have some real fun and that you want to start dancing.”

“It’s a production where you’re supposed to feel energetic and happy, so that’s what we’re trying to go for here,” he added. “If we manage to do that for audiences, then we’ve done our job really well.”

"When I found out that I was going to be Sandy in ‘Grease,’ I was pretty much over the moon,” said Kennedy ’25. “Fulfilling this dream has brought the biggest joy to my heart, so I can only hope that I inspire other young girls like me to know that it is possible to reach their own goals."

“I think it’s cool to see everyone’s different skill sets and how they all fit together like a puzzle,” Barton said.

“Our Holton counterparts bring so much more to the table. They're all immensely talented thespians,” added Ellis. “They bring the show to life. We can’t act without each other. We need everyone.”
