The 2024 Azalea Festival is here!

Get ready for a weekend of fun at Landon, all for a great cause.

We look forward to seeing you and your family on campus for our 71st Azalea Festival, this year from Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5. There is so much to see and do for the entire family! Join us for all the fun and support Landon’s tuition assistance and faculty professional development programs at the same time.

On Friday, May 3, your sons will be dismissed early from classes to enjoy an afternoon at the Festival. Landon families can buy discounted wristbands Friday only at the Funland ticket booth. Please consider sending your son with a debit or credit card to purchase food as we are trying to move to a cashless Festival.

We need hundreds of volunteers to make this event a success! There are volunteer shifts throughout the weekend, from selling tickets at Funland and making cotton candy at Bear Boardwalk to lending a hand as a parking attendant and driving a golf cart to deliver plants and cement bears to customers. Take a two-hour shift with a friend or your son. Make memories and connections that can last a lifetime.

Here is a quick recap of all the Azalea Festival offers!

Buy your azaleas, flowers, and plants at the festival. A large assortment of azaleas, plus quality grown annuals, perennials, herbs, and vegetables, will fill your landscaping beds and containers. Early shoppers find the best selection!

There are more than 30 boutique vendors at the Festival. Apparel, jewelry, accessories, artwork and more make great gifts just in time for Mother’s Day, graduations, and birthdays.

Discover our Bearly Used shop, featuring a treasure trove of gently used furniture, home accessories, books, toys, and more at a great price.

We will have food trucks and vendors to take care of your hungry household. From our own Bear Bakery and Riddle’s Griddle, to area favorites including Five Guys, Potomac Pizza, Clayboys Shave Ice, and Ben & Jerry’s, we will have plenty of food and drink to keep your families going during the fun.

There is entertainment throughout the weekend. Student concerts, the Upper School play, Landon Symphonette, The Great Zucchini, plus local bands are all part of the weekend's festivities. View the weekend schedule!

And while the ‘Zalea Bash is sold out, you can still place a bid on some of the many unique silent auction items, including Landon exclusives and experiences available only online.  Bidding is open now! All silent auction items close on Friday, May 3 at 8 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you rain or shine May 3-May 5 to help our school raise money to support student financial aid and faculty professional development. Go Bears!
